Should a new device always have a "Configure" button?

I've added/removed a new "Zooz ZSE43 Tilt Shock XS Sensor" several times -- with and without S2 security.

Each time, it "seems" to work for awhile -- but is unreliable long-term

Curious thing -- this is the first and only device I have that doesn't show any buttons -- I've always seen at least a "Configure" command button.

No the Configuration button is an option for the device driver author. It can be used to manually update or the author can decide to have the configuration updated with any change to the Preferences.

That is normal for the built in driver, it is a sleepy battery device so you cannot configure it on-demand. It will self-configure when you pair it.

Can you go to Settings >> Zwave Details and screenshot that sensor in there? Might give a clue as to why its not reliable for you.

It's been OK for a bit now. I think it got confused when the sensor was moved to a back bedroom and may have taken awhile to get a "good Z-wave path" back to the Hubitat. Can't be sure of that -- had done a lot of things -- changing driver, Z-wave repair, and re-pairing it, etc, etc -- but it's behaving fine now for several days
