Shelly Z-wave door/window sensor QLDW-002CUS

C-8 Pro/ 2.5.0.159

I am new to Hubitat and just paired the Shelly z-wave sensor and in the controller it never changes states it’s always reporting ‘Contact:open’. I can hear the reed switch clicking as well as the LED on the sensor is flashing green indicating it is changing state and should be sending the state back to the controller.
I previously had it paired to my Vera controller and know the sensor works. I did perform and exclusion from the Vera controller before pairing it to the C-8 Pro.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check on the device details page and let us know what Driver you have assigned to that device.

The type in the drop down is ‘Shelly Wave Door/Window’.

Did you use the normal exclude\include Z wave device or did you use SmartStart to include it as a long range LR device?

Pretty sure normal exclude\include

Can you paste a screen snip of your Z-wave details in settings? May shed some light.

I also paired form the web interface and not the mobile app.

Looks good, maybe try Generic Z-Wave Contact Sensor driver instead.

Looks like that works. I guess I assumed that because it selected that driver it was compatible with the device.
Thank you for the help.

This sensor has some other features (light and tilt),is there a formal channel to request a driver that supports the sensors full features?

It’s my understanding that the Driver you originally had loaded is supposed to work with this device. You may want to play with it a while and see if you can get it to work. It may have some additional options.

I’m not a Shelly guy so this is just from what I’ve read

The Shelly driver did appear to include the additional functionalities. I can try switching the driver back and see if it will correctly report the status.

When I paired it I did not use security and also did not pair using SmartStart. Could either of these possibly be a reason it’s not reporting the closed status using the Shelly driver?

As I said, I’m not a Shelly expert so I really don’t know the answer to your question.

There appeared to be several threads on Shelly devices. You may want to check them out to see if there’s any info or contact a poster who uses Shelly a lot.

I've searched around a bit and don't really see anything that helps. Anyone else have any ideas on things I could try or is this possibly a compatibility between the device and the device driver?

I'll check the driver today.. I still have this device handy..

That would be great. As I’m new to Hubitat I can’t guarantee that it’s not something I did wrong. Thanks for taking a look. If you need anything log wise let me know.
