I am testing Shelly RGBW PM Device with @dmitry.rozovik excellent HE Driver(s).
This device could be configured as 4 completely independent 12/24V DC LED Dimmers (this is exactly what I want to see for RGB(WW) Controllers) and has 4 Inputs which could be used as a built-in control inputs for the LED channels or could be completely independent sensors. Surprisingly Inputs cold be configured as a Digital or Analog Inputs. I tested one Analog Input with Water Leak Sensing cable and it works perfectly fine as a cable based leak detector (leak sensing pads also could be used).
So, it looks like Shelly RGBW PM is a very nice Light/Sensors combo control device already integrated with HE.
Interesting.
Might be nice if you updated the thread title to be more descriptive of the specific case rather than click bait like. We have so many poorly titled threads in this forum it would be refreshing if more frequent members would help make the thread titles better so we don't waste member time.
And what is your suggestion for title?
Hi!
I'm glad I found your post!
I just bought six of these, whcih driver exactly are you using for the Shelly RGBW PM?
Thank you!
You have to install the entire Shelly Devices bundle designed by @dmitry.rozovik
Please keep in mind, I am using this toy configured as 4 individual dimmers. This works perfectly fine. In the RGB(W)/CT mode the driver did not work but could be updated by now.
Inputs are configured separately and they do work. I am using Inputs in the "detach" mode.
I.e. inpus simply reported their Status but do not do any local control (but they can)
CT mode is ready but not submitted and not tested.
RGB/RGBW has some fixes. But it is incomplete. I don't have this devices to experiment on. There are few interface details I need to get feedback on to implement RGB/RGBW correctly.
About a week ago I offered you testing and feedback. Since I did not get any response I already install this device and now (unfortunately) I cannot provide any support for driver update and testing. As of now I am not planning to add more of RGBW PM devices to my setup. Anyway, for all my color strips I am using COB addressable strips driven by Pixelblaze. Bottom line, I am very happy with current Shelly RGBW PM driver "as is". It does everything what I need. Maybe @DrRomca can/will work with you on updating and testing the driver.
I probably got you wrong. What I need is a color setup specifically. Hubitat is working based on HSV color sysyem while device uses RGB(W) with brightness. And Shelly documentation does not specify if RGB levels are separate or premultiplied with brightness. This factor affects the posibility of using built-in child device for color or the need of adding custom one.
