My neighbor is getting this error from the sharp tools integration. Any idea?
Could this be a general Internet connectivity problem with the hub? One way to test is this: go to Settings > Network Setup , then launch the "Network Test" tool from the link at the upper right. Use it to try to ping sharptools.io or events.sharptools.io (or really anything on the Internet, though these probably makes the most sense). If that doesn't work, it's probably the problem.
As for why, if there is any unusual network setup (e.g., different vLANs), something may be configured wrong there. If they've configured a static IP address on the hub, I'd make sure the DNS servers are correct, or just switch it back to DHCP at least temporarily to see if that helps. These are a couple of the most common causes for general connectivity problems.
That test passed fine. It's an intermittent problem it seems, though. So will have to keep an eye on it unless there's other proactive steps to troubleshoot...
