Hello. I am a long time lover of all things Hubitat! I have 7 C5 hubs myself. I have a client who wants to purchase hubitat as well. They want to do handle the installation and regular changes to it. The client rules a Hotel and they have Zwave/Zigbee locks on all of the rooms. I am converting them from SAMSUNG to Hubitat. The question is the remote access subscription. I am going to get the client the monthly remote access subscription so they can add/remove door codes themselves , as well as me remotely. Is there any way i can "share access" so that when i login to my personal hubitat account (which also has remote access subscription) i can also admin their device? I want to avoid having to login and log out 10x a day to switch between my devices and their single device. Any Suggestions?
Admin and guest accounts can share the subscription. A guest account cannot purchase a subscription, but can use it. Depending on who is going to be the admin on the hub, must add the other as guest. Just keep in mind that subscriptions can only be managed from Admin account. Once a hub has an active Remote Admin service, all other hubs registered with same admin account also get access to the service, automatically.
I'd set up a vpn to the site and then you can get to their hub and yours via a browser.
What is a guest account? I have never heard of guest accounts? Any documentation i can look at?
Unfortunately that was my first suggestion and it got shot down.
Log into: https://my.hubitat.com/ with the admin account of the hub you need to add a guest to.
Check these instructions, How to Manage Accounts Linked to Your Hub | Hubitat Documentation.
You should be able to start with step 10 if you are adding an existing Hubitat account as a guest for remote access. I just did this for a hub I am working on remote, the admin added my as a guest and now I can see their hub from My Hubitat and log in with remote access.
