Sorry, side note, I have other automations that run on the hour and they work fine, it's only the shades.
I don't have a clue what could cause this.
Bummer... oh well, not the end of the world, I'll just keep my shade automations a minute before or after.

To follow up, the automation at 9:01 worked immediately.
