Setting Up a New User

Hello, I am trying to set up a new user for HE connection on multiple mobile devices, however, the app is giving an error:

Unknown error, please contact support.

Have you setup the user at https://portal.hubitat.com/?

If not set them up using a computer (Chrome, Firefox, or Safari preferred). Once setup try logging via the app.

If they are setup do you get the error with all users, or just 1?

There was a recent thread about how the app had a bug. There are a couple workarounds.

Check out post 17 and 18. This should take you to 17.

That was more of a dashboard bug. Never heard anyone there complain of having trouble logging into the app. Could still be worth a shot.

I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was trying to set up a user in the hub interface. I did not realize I needed to go to the portal.

Once I set the 2nd user up, that user was able to log into the app.
