If this has been addressed, it is in language I do not understand so here goes:
I am starting on the path to integrating Lutron into my Habitat system. My question is: I have kitchen lights controlled with two pico remotes and a standard Lutron on-off switch. THIS IS ON OFF, NOT A DIMMER.
I selected one of the Pico remotes, and am confronted with "Pico pushed/released" and with "Pico Pushed/held". Neither are responding, and I also can't figure out how to get it onto a dashboard. Can any of you Old Hands lead me out of the woods? Thanks very much.
Hubitat's Pico driver defaults to assuming 5 buttons, with these corresponding to the Lutron models with things like "3BRL" in the model number (in Lutron speak, 3 buttons plus raise/lower, so ultimately 5). If you have a 2-button Pico like the on/off ones I'm thinking of, just set the "Set Pico button count" preference on the devices detail page to the appropriate value, then hit Save Preferences.

Uhm... what is the appropriate value? There are two buttons physically, but which one corresponds to what I want? I really AM new to this, but Habitat is driving me batty.
If your Pico has two buttons, then "2" is the appropriate value for this setting. (Count the actual number of buttons, not what Lutron considers buttons, which I think is only different for the 5-button models that Lutron considers 3 since they skip the raise/lower buttons when counting...)

I'll give it a whirl, and, thank you for your patience. (I'm starting to feel my age!)
No they are 5 with 1 at top, 2 up dim, 3 center, 4 down dim, 5 bottom button
On Hubitat, yes. I'm talking about Lutron--the "3" in the model number like "3BRL" stands for what they consider the number of buttons to be.

If you are simply trying to use a pair of 2 button Pico Remotes for auxiliary switches for another Lutron Smart Switch, I would simply associate the Picos with the Smart switch inside the Lutron application. No need to even add those two Pico remotes to Hubitat, unless you want them to trigger some other Hubitat automation when a specific Pico is pressed. Even if that was the case, I'd still use the Lutron built-in pairing between the Picos and the Lutron Smart Switch, as that will continue to work even if your Hubitat hub is down for any reason.
Also, there is really no way to add a Pico remote to the Hubitat Dashboard, as they are button controllers with no 'state' to display. They simply trigger other actions that can then be used to control other devices.
