Set Google Volume in Notifications App

Is it possible to set the volume level in Google notifications? For instance, when someone comes home and unlocks the door, we have a message sent to a speaker that says "Welcome home %value%" (value being the person who unlocked the door). Unfortunately in can be very low. So from what I have gleaned there is a way to do it through RM, but is it settable through the Notification app?

@bravenel Any thoughts on this?

Yes, volume is settable for a Music device. It is not settable for a Speech device. Both are available in Notifier, and both do TTS.

Strange, my google speaker (I have chromecast integration installed) Is listed as Chromcast audio for the device driver, but when I click music device under the notification app it doesn't show. It does show under speech device. Am I missing something obvious here? (I probably am)

Yeah, Chromecast devices don't have musicPlayer capability, but do have setVolume. But, the Notifier app is not up to date about how to deal with speech devices that actually allow setting the volume. We will look into addressing that in the next release. In the meantime, you'd have to use RM to do this notification, where you can set the volume first on the device.

As always sir, thank you. I will work on it that way. I'll go dig out the volume variable from the forum. Thanx for taking the time
