Sengled zigbee bulbs stopped working?

If you still have issues and do the re-pairing don't remove them from Hubitat. Do not exclude/remove them. Just put the hub into pairing mode and then the bulbs and let it find them again.

Yep - I've done the zigbee re-pair dance a couple of times (though not with these bulbs). Thanks for your help.

No problem. Just didn't want you to have to redo your automations, groups, or scenes. Speaking from experience that can be annoying.

My Sengleds, nine of them, did as well. Eventually one or another would occasionally disconnect. A power cycle would bring it back. I decided that their habit of dropping off was simply a function of age. Put them all in a box and sold them for shipping. Two years ago I paid the Hue tax and no more issues.

In my experience, the legacy drivers handle loss of power better than the non-legacy drivers. I use Sengled bulbs (both classic and color plus) in fixtures that are still connected to dumb switches. The bulbs have a "last-gasp" feature to notify the hub that they are off when power is cut and return to the previous level/temperature/color when power is restored.

From my memory (it's been almost 3 years since I got started with Hubitat), the non-legacy drivers caused the bulbs to come back on at a very low brightness level when switched back on.

I have also seen the occasional drop-offs with a less than optimal zigbee mesh. Adding a repeating smart plug nearby has resolved those issues.

My experiment with the two drivers and my Sengled Classic A19 bulbs:

  • Generic Zibgee Bulb
  • Sengled Element Classic (Legacy)

Has been going well, I left my 12 bulbs in the basement as they have always been with the Generic driver since they always seem to work fine.

On my first floor where I have 5 bulbs and have seen the non-responsive to command I moved to the "Legacy" drivers"

On my second floor where I have 6 bulbs I distributed them between the two drivers.

I did a Hub upgrade at 4:30 pm last night since that seem to trigger some of the disconnects per other posts in this thread to 2.4.4.135. As a baseline on the Zigbee settings I have rebuild network on reboot turned off and ping unactive devices every 3 hours set to on.

As of 6:10 this morning all bulbs are responding to commands and all automations are working with them. I am going to wait 24 more hours and report in and make some conclusions.
