Sengled Zigbee Bulbs on Hubitat not working with Alexa

I have successfully installed a number of Sengled Zigbee Smart Bulbs recently - Sengled Elements Classic (model: E11-G13) and Sengled Element Color Plus (model: E11-N1EA).

I was able to pair them with my Hubitat Hub and control them via the Web interface with no issues.

However, I cannot get them to work with Alexa.

Alexa seems to be hardwired to look for a Sengled Hub which I don't have becasue I have a Hubitat.

I installed the Sengled Skill and linked my account just like I did with my other devices but Alexa cannot see to locate the bulbs.

These bulbs are advertized to work with Hubitat and also Alexa on Amazon which is why I bought them but it does not appear to work snd Sengled Support has suggested that I look elsewhere for help.

Has anyone come across this before? and can anyone suggest a Smart bulb which works with Hubitat and can be controlled by Alexa?

Thanks
Anson

Instead of using the Sengled Skill, you'll have much better luck if you enable the Hubitat Skill in your Alexa App on your phone. Since it sounds like the bulbs are paired directly to your Hubitat hub (not a Sengled hub), you'll want to use the Hubitat Skill.

Hi

Thanks for that reminder. I feel kinda silly now.

I had to unlink and relink the Hubitat Skill to discover the bulbs. I did it so long ago that I forgot all about it. Once I relinked the Skill I was able to see all of my bulbs and select them so now I can control them with Alexa.

You shouldn't have to do that. In the future, try going to Apps -> Amazon Echo Skill and click Select Devices. Add the desired devices, click Update and then Done.

If you have the Alexa app running on your phone, you should get a notification that new devices have been discovered.
