I have a rule to turn on three garage lights sunset to 10pm and has worked like clock work for six months with no issues using regular LED bulbs. I purchased three Sengled Element Color bulbs and installed and paired (zigbee) each one, set the color and tested by clicking the Set Color Command with no issues. All is good so far.
Since the color is set, you would think the existing rule I referanced above would work since its just turning on a single power switch to provide power to the lights. The bulbs are already set to a specfic color but NOPE does not work. The lights do not even come on! If I cycle the lights power the lights come on with the right color but the turn off. You have to turn them on again and then they stay on no issues and turn off at 10PM
I tried different rules but nothing seems to work and have looked here to see if anyone has a similar issue but can not find anything. Kinda run out of options so any ideas people may have please let met now
What driver are you using and do you have Power restore state on?
Generally speaking I don't like to cut power to smart bulbs - even the Zigbee ones. Instead I have either smart switches with "smart bulb mode" set on in the preferences or switches (like our bedroom sconces) that are generally out of reach so use picos..
The Sengled Element Color Plus driver that is stock on the hub. Not sure about Power Restore, Is that on the bulb (where ?) or the switch which is a GE Embrighten single pole switch.
I am using the "Advanced Zigbee RGBW Bulb" driver and I have the "Power Restore State" set to "On". If I manually set the color to blue (for example) then turn it off and wait and turn it back on - it remains blue.. If I do the same with Soft White - I get the same behavior.
