FWIW, I would like to suggest something like a Selection Tile. It could be used with devices that allow for multiple selections or dimmers. The selection list could either be defined on the device or in the tile. For instance, rather than using a Dimmer Tile for a Light you could use a selection list that defines something like LOW=10, MED=50, HIGH=100.
