Securifi Peanut Plug - Zigbee radio won.t change channels

Have two Peanut plugs that won't connect to hub. Suggestion was to try Zigbee channel 20, but it won't move off of Ch 18. Just stays locked on 18.

Any resaon why this happens or how to connect Peanuts. Have rebooted hub, network, and relocated hub and switches on top of each other. No go.

Welcome to Hubitat. Have you tried doing a factory reset on the Peanut plugs?

TY. Yes, I did the reset several times. Nogo. Strange thing is I had one Peanut working, but then I reset the Zigbee radio to try a diff channel, and now neither one works. Supposedly, these Peanuts work with HE, even tho they not in the supported list. Looks like they may be 30$ paperweights.

I have one and it is working fine.

OMG. I got them to work. Zigbee band must be full of interference. Did same things. Reset radio. was able to change to ch 20, finally. They popped in. Had already done this about five times before.

Insanity. Zigbee as reported by others is FLAKEY on HE.
Now I do not like Zigbee. Will avoid and stick with Zwave for more devices.

Zigbee works great for me on Hubitat, Much better than Z-wave.

Same here. Z-wave is so much slower than Zigbee. My zigbee sensors respond much quicker than my z-wave.

Same, Zigbee seems more stable than Z-Wave. Have I think 6 peanut plugs without issue. Just wish they supported enery monitoring.

It isn't inherently flakey on HE, it's only as good as the radio wave gods and or your engineering have allowed it to be in your environment...
I have three production hubs and a dev hub all on different channels along with three 2.4g access points.
I've not spent any time whatsoever dinking with channels, HE picks it when the stick starts the first time, and I dont dink with it.

Interesting, my new hub chose the same channel as my first. I had issues getting things to pair. I added 4 repeaters in place, but could not get 4 bulbs to pair. I changed the channel on the second hub and all 4 bulbs paired immediately. Not sure why the second chose the same channel as the first as they are only a few feet apart. Just wanted to give mention as with all things wireless ymmv.

Another wireless variable to try , move the HE hub as far from your router as possible. I think a super strong router signal can sometimes desensitize the radio receiver. Worth a try. I put mine on 15 ft ethernet cable and it seems to work
better. I am in a high density 2.4 ghz traffic area.
