I have multiple Zigbee switches and dimmers made by Schneider. I am using a Generic Zigbee Dimmer and Switch.
My issue is if for example, I turn on the physical switch from the wall, and then I execute a digital off by using the Hubitat app or a rule machine or a motion rule, the next time that I try to turn the switch physically, I have to press it 2 times before it works.
Similarly, if I use the Hubitat to turn on the switch (digital) and then try to use the physical switch to turn it off, I have to pressed twice before it works.
The weird things is if I use the physical switch on then off and after that if I use the digital on and off it works without a problem.
I tried different device drivers and also apps to trigger the digital on/off but without success.
When you paired these initially, did they pair with a specific driver, or just as "Device"? And you later chose the "Generic Zigbee Switch" or "Generic Zigbee Dimmer" driver?
In either event, choose the Generic driver, and click "Configure" on the device page. That may get it working as desired.
It sounds like the double tap is an intentional override to a digital command (i.e., the digital takes precedence and is the desired setting). Not a bad idea in industrial / office areas. If this is the case, there may not be an easy way for a Zigbee interface to change the setting.
However, there may be a way in the programming to set the override default (single, double, never). Check your zigbee device's manual (or try the manufacturer's help or blog).
I tried and works in 1 of my switches. It didn't fix all of the switches and it didn't work for the dimmers.
It might be to do with a "feature" from manufacture as some other user suggested but I cannot find any info from manufacture.
Quick question, after pressing the "Configure" button, do i need to "Save Device" and/or "Save Preference"? Do I need to wait for a while for the configuration to take place?
