Schlage BE469NX problem with it knowing its unlocked

I just moved from wink hub to hubitat this weekend. I really love it so far. But I added my Schlage BE469NX lock and it seems to be working except that if I manually unlock the lock, or use the code to unlock it, it does not report that it is unlocked in the hub. If i push refresh when i'm in the device it will then change to see that it is unlocked, but it does not report that automatically. I wanted to set up a rule that make it to where when the lock is unlocked, it turns on the light in the room you are entering. But without seeing the unlocked state, it does not work properly. Does anyone know why it does this? Or how I can get hubitat to refresh automatically so it sees the change in state?

Hi and welcome to Hubitat. I'm sure some people will be posting ideas for you to try shortly. I came over from Wink as well (had a v1 from 2015 - April 2019). If you haven't yet, I suggest contacting support@hubitat.com to get a ticket started.

Given that you can hit refresh to get the lock state to update, it sounds like your mesh is pretty good, but it's a good idea to get a few Aeotec Extender 6 devices to strengthen the Z-Wave mesh as the radio in the Wink seems like it's a bit stronger than Hubitat. The Schlage locks (I have 3) are a bit finicky with Hubitat if the mesh isn't strong enough. I added 4 Extenders to my mesh and my locks have been pretty solid ever since.

Again - welcome to Hubitat!

Thanks! I'm going to look into the range extenders. I also had wink V1 for a long time, x10 devices before that. Got a lot running on hubitat in a pretty short time. Happy with it so far.
