Schlage BE469 Zwave locks

I've had 3 of these locks since 2013 from the Original ST days. Now I'm here at Hubitat. I could ONLY get the 2 succesfully paired. The 3rd lock, I could only get status Locked or Unlocked. No mechanical control.

These locks are the Old Zwave tech. I called Schlage they advised they are not discontinuing the Zwave protocol. It's just a shortage of parts (chip) in getting these locks produced. So I bit the bullet...found and purchased a Zwave Plus version of the Zwave lock.. All I have to do is switch out the core from the B/O lock.

Just thought I would share with you folks that are still rocking the Schlage Locks. I have all mine keyed the same....so luckily/hopefully I can just swap the cores...

have a nice day and thankyou...all

Home depot will rekey those for free. That said 2 things need to be considered with the older be469's (as well as the new) Firmware needs to be 7.10 or above and they should be paired within 2 feet of the hub due to the whisper security exchange the lock needs to do with the hub..

Yep, all you have to is swap out the plastic-encased electronics module. Only tricky part is that, during reassembly, start with the L-shaped key, from the keypad to the lock, horizontal with the bolt retracted.

I swapped out the electronics on my two BE469NX locks (using modules / for parts locks obtained on eBay) when I got my C-7, making them BE469ZP, so as to get S2 pairing. They continue to work fine on my C-8. Battery life went from about 6 weeks to over 6 months when I changed to S2 pairing, which is why I did it (and my reason for getting the C-7).

Would you happen to know if the Zwave transmitter itself is located in the the Body where the batteries are located in the back of the door?

I wouldnt think the Zwave transmitter is located in the Keypad part.

I just had a thought where i can reuse my existing Keypad with the original core intact (without disassembling) i just have to use the new Body / Battery Compartment part which sits on the Backside of the door

Glad to hear it's working again...

Everything is working great through automation and through tile control.

One functionality i miss is to control the locks via Alexa
I couldn't find any latest update on this.

Confirm so as of now there is No way to control these Schlage locks via Alexa?

Locks are controllable via Alexa. Make sure you add the locks to the Amazon Alexa app on Hubitat.

And then authorize the lock for voice control within the Alexa app.

I tried this and was unable to do so
Im unable to add these locks on Alexa

Are you going into the HE skill on Hubitat itself, clicking devices, then click the lock?

Oh lemme try that brb

Thankyou that worked. Soo forgetful and confusing sometimes
So i had to access Hubitat Hub
Go into amazon echo skill
Select 3 doorlocks
Update
Then my alex app sees the locks and adds

Thankyou !!!!!

Enjoy your Sunday

Do that with any device you want to control. Any devices that are connected to alexa only, you can create virtual switches for on hubitat.

Beware...don't give your address to @rlithgow1 or he'll start doing drive-bys shouting "ALEXA, OPEN THE FRONT DOOR LOCK" at your house at 3 in the morning.

He's just like that.
