Hello group
You have before helped me moving on, and I turn back here with a new problem.
Since winter time is approaching light issues becomes more important to solve, and right now I am dealing with scenes.
I have two hubs and H2 is meant solely to be for my Philips Hue bulbs.
All bulbs here in this question is gu10 ct bulbs.
I got 5 here in this scene and the problem is, that when I change scene the scene have to be triggered twice to get both color and illuminance right.
I normally switch scenes from dashboards either by an on off button or the dedicated scene button, but, same same.
I also see it when a pir sensor is starting up, and previus scene was different.
I had some luck with running doubble activation in the rules, but I dont feel thats the right way to go.
Only way it works 100% is from the scene itselves (activate scene) but not even from the scene activator created by he itselves it works.
Bulbs set up as advanced zigbee ct bulb, maybe it is as simple as changing the bulb type.
Thanks in advance
In the Scenes app (the app, not the device), there is a new-ish option for metering. This will put a small delay of your choosing between commands to the devices, which might help with reliability. (That being said, the biggest thing that helped my reliability was just putting them on a Hue Bridge instead of a second hub. But either way should work...though it should be noted that the Hue Bridge supports "true" Zigbee scenes that can usually be recalled with a single group broadcast to the devices, whereas Hubitat simulates this on the software side with possibly multiple commands to each bulb/group.)
If you're not sure where to start, the units are milliseconds, and something like 75 or 100 might be a good place to start. Higher can't really hurt; the tradeoff is that you're likely to notice the so-called "popcorn effect," where different devices change at visibly different times.
Thanks a lot, it seems to work, almost.
The only thing is that when I in one scene set some bulbs to 0 zero in illuminance, they do not turn on right. But I solved it by only setting them to 1% instead, problem solved.
Thank you for your time:smiley:
I knew about the Philips hubs, and I just sold two of them:confounded:.
I googled metering, since it not a word I know, but it did not really help.
Meassuring? But it dont really make sence for me, can you explain it for me.
Close to the danish meter which is allmost the same as three feet
This sounds normal to me. Doing a "Set Level" to 0 normally turns the bulb off. The lowest level is 1, not 0.
In case you didn't figure it out: "metering" is an option in the scenes app (look towards the bottom of the page, and remember that this is under the Groups and Scenes app, not the device). It will put a small delay of your choosing between commands to the devices.
If you're just wondering about general English usage, this is "to meter" in the sense of "to supply in a measured or regulated amount," the thing of concern being the amount of commands sent at one time (or with in a period of time).
I gave up on scenes. I'm not sure what the deal is but I experienced the same as you. It's very sporadic at best and I would estimate mine had a 30% success rate. I gave up and setup scenes using RM and they work many many times better.
That makes sence
Maybe i should give that a try with the next series of bulbs, thanks😃
