My solution. Jar on a string, microswitch to trigger a Third Reality sensor.

Thank you for sharing this. I just ordered the last one. I was not aware of this site.
I just received mine today. Works well once it’s calibrated. And the calibration must be the distance in centimeters. Dummy me was adding the distance in inches …. Took the better part of 2 hours to realize my mistake.
Just checking but you have this connected to HA correct? I didn’t see reference to a Hubitat driver.
