I have the rule as seen in the image. "Living room lamp" is just a yeelight bulb that I can normally set its level. But for whatever reason, the bulb won't change the level when this rule gets executed. Any idea why?
Looks like you're doing a "Set Color and Level" without specifying a color. Try adding a color if you wanted to do that, or change the action to "Set Dimmer Level" instead (by "change," I mean delete the action and insert a new one in the same spot).

That did it. I thought I had tried that first... but I must have done something wrong before. it worked now
