Rule running when not triggered

I have a rule called workday morning lights.

It suppose to run only on week days not weekends. It appears to me its setup right but it ran this morning. Any ideas why this is happening?

Here is the details on the device

It says it is restricted. Can you post logs showing that it ran?

I just realized that I didnt have logging turn on for the rule..

Also here is the log from the device - it says it off but its actually on - I wam looking at the light

Hopefully, you’ll get logs to sort this out.

What kind of device/light is this?

Here is the event log showing it turn on

What rules and apps use this device? It is indicated on the bottom of the device page.

Do you use Alexa? If so, have you turned off Alexa hints?

I sent a screen shot above..

Not sure how to turn off Alexa hints..

Sorry, it’s called Alexa Hunches. And can be turned off in the Alexa app under Settings.

I didn't have them setup but they are off now..

I generally don't turn logging on for devices or rules unless I am troubleshooting them. Otherwise the log fills up pretty quickly.

Was that option turned on before?

It was on but they were not being used.

AFAIK, the hunches that Alexa creates by itself don't show on that list. My guess is that your light was turned on by Alexa after it monitored that the light was turned on at a particular time for the previous 5 days.

If you search the community for "Alexa hunches", you'll see multiple examples of experiences similar to yours.

It ran again this morning - Here is the log of the switch.

Here is the rule log..

It doesn't appear (to me) its taking the day into account..

I have confirmed yet again that Alexa Hunches is turned off...

The restriction is indeed not working properly. It would have been interesting to see what was in the scheduled jobs (bottom of the config - accessible by pressing on the top-right gear) yesterday. It should show tomorrow’s 6:15 first action at this point, but on Friday after all actions ran, the next scheduled job should be for 6:15 the next Monday.
