Rule machine V5 not behaving like RM 4 with replace function

I'm running same code in RM 4 and RM 5
Set L-Date to '%date%'
Log: '%date%'
Replace 'Jul' from L-Date with '07'
Log: '%L-Date%'

in RM 4

In RM 5

18-Jul-2021

Maybe this is a bug?
