Rule machine lights

Hi, i am trying something.... i just bought a zooz 4 in 1 sensor.

I want the patio and entrance lights to be at 80% when the lux sensor is above 10 (kitchen lights on) and dim to 1% if the lux sensor is below 8 (kitchen lights off)

Patio and entrance lights go on at sunset, and go off at sunrise....

and i need this rule to work when we are home... when we are away we would like to be at 80% no matter if the kitchen lights are off...

Lots of ways to do this. I would:

Triggers:
Sunset (time), sunrise (time) and Kitchen lights (change)

Rule:

Unfortunately the above rule does not use your brand new zooz sensor

EDIT: Sorry, I forgot to add the condition of the correct modes to the first condition - you can just add AND Mode is...

I'll also add if you're using a C7 hub, you may have problems because of the way the 4-in-1 pairs with the C7. With one it likely won't be a problem, with more than that though you're mesh will crash. It needs to be paired with no security with a z-wave stick paired as a secondary controller.

nice thanks! ill take a look on more on the rule machine usage. i have no idea how the else will work

i didnt got a good understanding on the problem it can cause. what do you mean with my mesh?

That sensor can overwhelm the Z-wave mesh network on a C7 causing slow performance and unreliability. Rumor is that pairing without security using a secondary controller can fix the problem, hypothesis being that the added security overhead is a root cause. I tried this pairing method many times but it didn’t really solve the problem. IMO, replace that one sensor with something else or move it to a C5 running hub mesh.
