I have a rule set up to send me a notification on a temperature exceeding a value. I don't want it to continuously trigger though. Is there a way to have an action disable the rule? And it would be great to re-enable it once the temp goes below that value.
(ie: I only want to get notified once when it's above the value)
Effectively yes, but how do you want to "disable" and, equally important, re-enable things? The required expression feature (something else but possibly something that would meet your needs) may work, or if you just want to do things manually, the Pause and Resume buttons the UI would do it--among other possibilities, including doing the same thing from the actions of another rule, using a conditional trigger, a real or virtual device with any of these options, and unlimited other possibilities.
A concrete example of what you want would be my next suggestion if these ideas are too general.
