This happens sporadically, but with no consistency. I have these rules setup for the front porch lights to come on at sunset, and go off at sunrise. They are going OFF before sunrise.
My first guess is that some other app is interfering. Check "in use by" on the device detail page to find possible suspects, or look at "Events" on the device detail page to see commands (commands specifically--not events) to see what apps actually sent commands to the devices to get a better idea. See: How to Troubleshoot Apps or Devices | Hubitat Documentation
Is the 7:02 AM off the unexpected one? If so, the app listed there -- "OUTSIDE_LIGHTS-SunUp" -- is the culprit.
If not -- and if whatever is doing this is coming from the hub -- you should be able to find other commands that show what caused the event (again, you are specifically looking for things with "command" in the Type column, not events -- events just told you what did happen, and you already know that).
If these are something like a Hue Bridge light that might be integrated via other means, be sure to check that, as well as any Hubitat Groups and Scenes groups or Room Lighting activators it may be a part of if you are using those apps.
Well, there might still be something goofy. Why do you use sunset/sunrise as the trigger and then use an if/then to check if it is sunset/sunrise? It seems like the rule would accomplish the same thing and be simpler if you removed the IF/END IF around the on/off actions.
ok, that's interesting. So what are you suggesting....so setup a trigger for sunrise/sunset and say turn ON. No if/then at all? I think I have this thing where i setup rules always with conditions and that is something I need to work on.
While this wasn't my idea, yes, that is also what I would suggest (there is no point in checking a condition if your rule just triggered on the very event that would result in that state).
It still won't explain your problems, however.
Do you see events for the device corresponding to the unexpected changes, at least?
Not that I'm aware of, but Sengled makes surprising choices sometimes.
To the OP: if you scroll farther back in your event/command history, what is the next most recent command or two you see in that list? The idea is to check for anything that could be doing it -- maybe a "setLevel" with an exceptionally long transition time or something (can't see that there but could check the app that sent it if you see something).
If you have a spare bulb, consider also swapping out this device for the other (pair it and use Swap Apps Device to make it easy) to see if that changes anything. That would rule out a hardware problem, at least.
I saw something about Amazon Echo in the screenshot which makes me think of Amazon Alexa. I don't use Amazon w/my hub, but it makes me wonder if the unexplained off events could be this: Add warning about Hunches in the Amazon Echo Skill app
In terms of 'command' i'm only seeing the ON/OFF ones when sunrise/sunset happen. What's strange in these screen shots is at 4:22am EST...it just started dimming down (percentage) to zero. There's nothing in my rule to do that. And it does this sporadically with no consistency. Meaning, I could go for weeks and those lights come on and off as expected....then every now and then I might wake up early to get something to drink or whatever and notice they are OFF.
