Rule Machine changes motion detector sensitivity?

Devices:
Zooz ZSE11 Q sensor (USB power)
Inovelli Dimmer 2 in 1 Red VZW31-SN

For a few years, I had my Inovelli dimmer in the devise preferences as "Switch mode: On/Off only".

I had a "Basic Rule" set up that when the ZSE11 sees motion it would turn the lights on. The ZSE11 has a little blue LED light that flashes when it sees motion (i assume). With this setup, the speed at which the light would turn on was alarmingly fast...as in light speed fast. It reminded me of when I used to have these on my SmartThings hub and used Direct associate so the 2 devices just talked to each other for on and off and didn't even need to send the command to the hub.

I decided to change the way this operates so that when motion was seen, depending on the time of day, it would either turn the light on at 100% or 30%. I changed the Inovelli switch preferences to "Switch mode: Dimmer" and then moved from a "Basic Rule" to a "Rule Machine" rule. I did not touch the settings on my ZSE11 motion sensor.

This system works. The speed at which the light turns on after motion is seen is slightly slower, but no doubt because RM has to run a little bit of logic.

The weird thing, however, is with this change, my ZSE11 is way less sensitive. I did not touch the sensitivity settings on the ZSE11. However there are many times I need to be almost right in front of the sensor before the blue led flash goes off saying that motion has been detected. Before, I couldn't even sneek past the room without the motion sensor being tripped.

Has anyone ever seen something like this where changing from Basic Rule to RM changes how sensitive a motion sensor is???

Post screen shots of your two rules - the original in Basic Rule and the replacement in Rule Machine.

Neither app affects the sensitivity of a motion sensor; so there is some other difference between the two rules that makes one respond faster than the other.

The little blue LED on the on the motion sensor. Does that flash when motion is seen, or does that flash when the motion sensor properly communicates with the Hub and the rule is executed.

That is the big thing...I can be looking at the sensor and walk in the room and sometimes I don't see that blue light flash until I'm right at it waving my hands.

The old Basic Rule I have since deleted, but that one was straight forward.....motion -> turn light on.

Here is my RM.
