Rule and Room Lighting

I read some but don't see my question exactly.

I have an RL and thats straightforward. I have a rule that I want to be in control if triggered.
How does one disable RL when the Rule is in charge?

Case:
I use RL to control the sink lights in the bath. A motion sensor at the counter is the trigger.
When the shower is entered, a different motion sensor kicks a rule. I use Zone Motion to aggregate the motion so once the shower motion is triggered, the room stays on until all motion sensors go inactive for 15 mins.
Right now, the rule triggers, but the RL having already been triggered is turning off the lights after 10 mins leaving the showerer in the dark. a bit annoying.

I use the manual adjustment of my dimmers to stop the rule from turning the lights off. I've also messed around with a virtual switch on a dashboard to do similar.

Surely if there's still motion the lights shouldn't turn off. It might be best to screenshot your RL instance so people can see what's going on.

Have your first action be Pause Rule. You can select Room Lights as an option. The last action should obviously be Resume Room Lights.
