Room Lighting Turning off issue

I have an issue where my kitchen lights do not always seem to turn off, two nights in a row, but given I am a totally newbie it could be something I have done.

I compared the Kitchen RL parameters with another room that seems to work ok and found one key difference - the kitchen did not have a transition time set. The Kitchen consists of white ambient bulbs and colour bulbs and the other room has just colour bulbs. All managed through Cocohue and the Hue hub, all bulbs are Hue.

So I tried to set a transition time and there was no facility for me to enter a transition time at turn off, only at turn on.

I then tried cloning the room that works to the kitchen and the transition time at off became the delay time.

When I was setting up room lighting in other rooms, the kitchen was one of the last I did, I had observed on another set an activation and turn off issue that seemed to be fixed by setting the transition time.

So not sure if this is how it is supposed to work or if it something I have done, The lights were on at 05:00 this morning and the details of setup and the log taken at that time are below. Kitchen light switch V is a virtual switch to facilitate multiple ways of turning on or off the lights and was not invoked in this period.

According to this log the Turn Off was ignored due to illuminance. Saying it is was not greater than 500. The only thing this would apply to is the Means to turn off trigger, rise above 500 lux. I think it is logged like that because there was a lux report but it was less than 500, so the off trigger was ignored. Is there somewhere in the logs where the motion becomes inactive?

Besides that I am really struggling with the logic you have tied in here with the lux sensors.
Turning on you have lux less than 500, so ANY time the room is dark the lights come on? The way this is setup it is independent of motion. Is that what you want? But then contrary to that you have the means to turn off any time lux is above 500, so if the room is bright the lights turn off. Don't these two things fight each other constantly? Maybe one of those sensors is outside or something and I am not understanding it correctly?

Thanks for the feedback and your patience. The problem is that I didn't quite understand how this worked, I think I had assumed that the two statements would act as an AND rather than an OR. So I have removed the illumination piece and with my crude test it now seems to work, I will check later tonight. I think I will need to code up separately, for rooms where people tend to stay a long time, a simple RM routine that says if the lights are on and the illumination has risen above 500 then turn the lights off.

I also managed to work out why the lounge worked and the kitchen didn't regarding turning on if there was no transition. It was nothing to do with that, I had set a switch in both to prevent turning lights on when I originally set up the lounge but never used that switch whilst the kitchen was set up the same that switch had been activated as part of what I was testing at that stage. It was my lack of familiarity with Hubitat, I am in my first weeks.

Many thanks
