I got everything converted over to Room lighting and it was working, since the last update, the "Scenes" I created stopped working. I see no errors but they are not working. I made no other changes, other than update to the latest version. And by not working I mean the state of the light bulbs does not change. If I look at the rule itself after I activate it, it shows the green activated indicator but in the device table, the current state will show (Off) on each of the individual bulbs. I can confirm the current state reflects accurately but the activate no longer changes the state of the bulb.
The last couple updates have randomly messed with my “Activate even if partially activated” and “force” settings for some, but not all, of my RL apps. If you were using those activation options, make sure they’re still set they way you want. Check and make sure zigbee group messaging is disabled too.
This is not a factual statement. If you experienced something like this, more likely you have a database corruption issue. Nothing in any of the updates would change an existing RL setting for these settings.
I take exception to that, it’s factual — the settings post-update were not the same as they were prior to the update. If the root cause is database corruption, it was either introduced by or exposed as a result of performing the update.
If it happens again I’ll leave it alone instead of fixing it so you can pull my DB and look, if you’d like.
What I am saying is that an update doesn't change settings. If the update you performed was from 2.3.2 to 2.3.3, there is a new database version, and it is possible that something happened to your database. So let's just be clear about what the possible causes are, and what things are not.
I have a similar issue, as my motion activated light scene has been sporadic, I have 2 motion(Iris model: 3326-L) sensors to trigger a light switch(GE dimmer 14295) it worked great prior to the last few updates.
After reading all the above
I am going to pause the rule that is in "Motion and Mode lighting app" (after the updates), and make a new one and see if that fixes the issue.
Will report back in a few days if more help needed
It seemed like maybe I was the only one experiencing this so I didn't post any follow-ups. What I ended up doing was downgrading to 2.3.3.123 and restoring from a previous backup. This fixed everything for me, though transitions were wonky, which was why I upgraded to begin with. Now I'm running 2.3.3.128 and it seems to have stabilized. I still notice the "Scenes" getting out of sync but for the most part they are working. And by "out of sync" I mean for example, if I have more than one "scene" for a set off lights and switch from one "scene" to another, Hubitat will show both "scenes" as active.
If you refresh the Apps pages typically the incorrect "Active" notifications will resolve...in most cases incorrect status on the Apps page is because the page does not actively update if open. Try that and see how it behaves.
