I have an RGBW light strip behind my monitors that I used for notifications using colors but normally I have it set to CT using RL. I use a Rule to change the color of the light strip to a certain color then turn on the RL activator device with a 10 second delay to set it back to CT but it doesn't seem to be working after update. I tested it further by going to the device and changing it to a color which changes the colorMode to RGB, I got to RL and click on Activate and nothing changes. If I turn off the RL app and click activate the light strip changes back to CT.
Please show the logs to illustrate what is actually going on.
Not sure if this is good enough but below is one of the notifications I use it for, if someone pushes the button outside of my office. I pushed the button, it changes the light strip to RGB with a green color then 10 seconds later it activates the RL which is supposed to change it back to CT
RL sees that the light is already on, so doesn't do anything to it. You could add the option "Command devices on/off irrespective of reported state". This will reveal a column of checkboxes called Force in the device table, and you can force the device to be commanded.
I had tried that option previously "Command devices on/off irrespective of reported state" but didn't realize that it added more options to the actual devices. I set it to Force and it works as expected. Thank you.
