Ring Outdoor Contact Gen 3 Pairing

Has anyone got this Gen3 contact paired with Hubitat. I have tried

After Factory reset

• Smartstart say the Q code is not supported
• Zwave inclusion 1) hold Setup button for 3 seconds, Zwave never finds anything, the contact led keeps slowly blinking green

Anyone?

I dont think the v3 is zwave. connectivity on Amazons site says “Amazon Sidewalk” and the v3 sensor is not in the zwave certified catalogue that I can find.

If you can join them to your Ring setup you may be able to bring them into HE via the Unofficial Ring Integration or via the official HE Ring Integration. However, recent feecback was that contact sensors weren't working reliably yet in the official Ring integration.

I also use that unofficial integration, installed on a C8-Pro; beta on a C7. My experience is that notifications of events (contact sensors opening/closing; motion events) is not reliable with the beta; rock-solid on the unofficial integration. (link to my post)

I've no idea if the Amazon Sidewalk version contact sensors are included in the unofficial and official integration or not.

I have numerous Ring contact sensors and just assumed this outdoor sensor would be no different. Guess I should have read the description better. Thank goodness for Amazon Return policy. Thaks everyone for your quick responses
