Ring Keypad Alarming Questions

If I arm the system with the keypad and then disarm the system during the delay, the keypad will go into disarm mode but then just the keypad goes into arm mode, I think at the end of the delay time. The only way I can get the keypad out of is to manually disarm the system through HSM. Any idea why and how to fix this situation? I can see it happening if we arm the system and then come back into the house because we forgot something. We would want to go ahead and disarm the system and rearm when leaving again.

The other thing I noticed today is that we armed the system using the keypad. About 5 minutes later, the keypad log shows that the system was disarmed. But no one was home to do disarm it. Any idea why that happened? I do not have any rules set up that would disarm the system.

Thanks

Thanks

I've noticed occasionally HSM will disarm and the message doesnt get to the keypad. I have a simple RM rule to catch and fix this.

Would you be able to share that rule with me?

Here's the rule as I originally wrote it (with some extra stuff removed) but I think I will modify it to try up to 10 times just in case.

This one might be a bit better... but I havent tested it. My system is a tad more complex because I have an envisalink board that integrates HSM with my Vista20 panel, so my experience may be a bit different than yours.

Thanks. I did change the driver to the community version for the keypad. Not sure that will make a difference. I may also try your rule(s).

Another dummy moment. I had a rule to disarm the system when all our phones were present. When we armed the system, since our phone(s) were still in the Geofence, the system disarmed. I stopped the rule and all seems to be working now.

I used to use a rule like that but had it trigger if any geofencing sensor "arrived."
