Darn! After a week of reliability, it glitched again and required a refresh of the base station device to update and match the actual ring system mode.
Hi there, I have the Ring Integration working well with my alarm and camera. It detects and sends motion events for the camera but Iâm wondering if it supports thumbnails with the notification or some of the more advanced features of Ring (e.g. Person detection)?
Today was unique. Refresh did not do a thing to update the ring alarm mode status. Had to reboot the hub to get it to detect the status properly. I'm on the latest hubitat beta. Really frustrating and no response from hubitat on this defective and unreliable integration.
Maybe start a new topic??? Perhaps everything in this older topic is getting lost. Yeah, I havenât seen any responses to inquiries on this thread in a while. Wondering what work is still being done on this integration as well.
I've been using the motion detection for a couple of Ring cameras. Today I noticed that they don't reflect active motion until about 45 seconds after motion occurs, unless I hit "refresh." I don't recall this being the case previously. I tried logging off and back on to my Ring account in the integration.
Here is a log. The motion occurs around 22:26:58--the debug message at that time says "active=true" (which I assume refers to motion). However, the camera doesn't report that motion is active until 22:27:46.
So my understanding that this is based on a third party device that doesnât have any information in the reverse engineered api. Since ring has come out with an official API. It's being worked on.
