I have a Ring contact sensor that the batteries went dead. I haven’t checked the logs in a while since it is in an outbuilding. Somehow the same device got duplicated around 200 times. Is there an easy way to delete these devices? I put fresh batteries in and it is reporting again.
If they were all created at the battery replacement it seems like the easiest way would be to restore the previous day’s backup.
No, I am assuming they somehow appeared when the battery went dead. I tried installing the oldest back up I had and they were all still there, just less of them. Very odd.
I dont think i’ve seen anything like that before and Ring zwave devices are typically very solid.
You have 1 device on that list that is reporting a RSSI value and has a date/time stamp. Leave that one alone. For the others, if you hit refresh, it should time out and give you an option to delete. Hit delete and cross your fingers. This may take several tries (refresh -> delete) and you may need to reboot the hub.
Should the device disappear, rinse and repeat the successful steps and keep an eye on the table in case the entries come back.
If the entries do come back, unless you are doing some weird stuff with zwave pairing, you may want to consider replacing the device.
Not working to try to delete. Just says not responding. Being that it’s the shed, I only have around 12 devices on there. Might be faster to exclude everything and do a reset
