Ring Alarm contact sensor v2, Pairing

Hub Model C-7
Platform version: 2.3.9.192

I have 7 Ring Alarm Contact Sensor v2 working fine, decided to buy another one and had issues pairing it. Every time I tried to pair it through hubitat webpage the sensor kept failing to include after typing the security DSK.

The only way I found to be able to pair the device was through the hubitat app on the smartphone using the smart start option.

However once the device is included to my network is showing as a "ring outdoor siren". After manually going inside the device and changing to "Ring alarm contact sensor G2" the device is still showing states as a siren and not knowing when the contact sensor is open or close.

To clear the old states, switch to the "Device" driver type (yep, that's what it's called in the listing).

Then, in the options at the top of the page, click "Delete All Current States" and "Delete All States". Refresh the page - the states should all be gone.

Then switch back to the desired driver, verify your parameter settings, and hit Configure.

ETA -- there's a good chance you've created one or more ghosts with your initial inclusion attempts -- that may explain the lack of responsiveness...

If you post a screenshot of your entire Z-Wave Details page (using Windows Snip or Mac Shift-Command-4 - and it may require more than one screenshot), folks here can help diagnose that.

thanks for the reply, I followed your instructions however in the last step the device doesnt show the "configure" button isn't showing.

Next I removed and paired again the device and I was able to include the device through the hubitat webpage by having the device next to the hubitat however it still included as a Ring oudoor siren...

Everytime I had to factory reset the device I force removed the device and also made sure to delete any device not respoding in the Z-wave setting page by refreshing it and removing it, not sure if that removed any trace of the ghost devices.

Honestly I'm clueless why the device identifies himself as another device...is the device a trans device?

I managed to get it working by selecting "Ring Alarm Contact Sensor" and finally the configure button showed.

No idea why however I hope this helps anyone who runs into a similar issue.

Thanks for the help @hydro311 !

Configure button doesn't show with the DEVICE driver. Only the regular driver will show that.
