has anyone looked at the rhionkey, just wondering how it works is it like Bluetooth beacon, could they be used as a presence sensor ?
From what I can tell, the Rhinokey Smartcard is an ultra-thin Bluetooth tracker designed for wallets, offering a rechargeable alternative to Apple AirTags that works with the Apple Find My network. It features a 5-month battery life, Qi wireless charging, IP68 waterproofing, and loud audio alerts. The device is apparently easy to set up and works well with Apple's Find My app.
I am not confident that this Bluetooth device can currently be used as a native hubitat presence sensor or as a targeted device in an Apple Shortcut script. Depending on your level of programming expertise, one could pair a Bluetooth device like the Rhinokey with a Bluetooth-enabled computer, such as a Raspberry Pi, etc, and use a background program to check whether the bluetooth device is currently connected, and send an HTTP GET command to the Hubitat makerAPI to toggle 'present'/'not present' states on a virtual presence device. That's a lot of extra work, in my opinion.
Down the road, I believe that Hubitat will introduce native Bluetooth connectivity for the latest hubs with Bluetooth chips, which might allow these devices to connect to Hubitat.
i still haven't come across anything as good as the original smarthings tags, but keep looking
