RGB bulb - wifi vs zigbee vs zwave

Yep. No problem my friend. If you ever need some help you can always message me, or make a post. Most people will gladly help you. But (to add to your confusion and so you know) just to give you a taste of my set up:

  • Hubitat
  • Homebridge
  • Homepods
  • Echo Spots
  • Sengled Bulbs
  • Sengled Contact Sensor
  • IKEA Tradfri Plugs
  • Iris Motion Sensors
  • Third Reality Switches

All work flawlessly.

Phillips just bought this Wiz Connected wifi bulb, so maybe there's some hope that they will publish the required specs. In the meantime, I'm going to try some Sengled (not sure which hub I'll get yet) and some switches and plugs and start my venture into the zigbee / zwave / hub path. The Inovelli red look like great switches that will work with either dumb or smart bulbs. They also seem to be a big fan of Hubitat.

Great info. Thanks! Looking forward to a long future in this community!

Wiz bulbs, while WiFi, work wonderfully with Hubitat using LAN. Just install this driver. You can even set them to any of their preset scenes (which I love - does Sengled have ambient scenes, as well?) using CT values or the setEffect custom action.
