Return from Away in RM?

:frowning: nope

Unless I’m missing something else, the rule seems to exit based on the same condition that triggered it. I.E. despite what the interface would seem to imply, RM doesn’t really make a distinction between ‘arrived’ and ‘present’, it seems to treat them both as present. Either that or as soon as I’ve arrived I’m present, so; exit rule... :frowning:

I think it’s time to try the global variable route.

:slightly_frowning_face:

It seems like it should have known the difference. I will have to think about this.

Thank you all! I got it.

I’m now using a global variable as @at9 suggested, but I set it up as a previous_mode that updates whenever the mode changes as @aaiyar suggested. Right now I just have WasAway and null, but the architecture is there if I want to use other ‘previous modes’ down the road. It works perfectly as follows;

I still have to add my sunset conditions and locks back in, but the ground work, works!

Thank-you all.
