Request: Consistent Naming convention for Apps

Howdy Hubitat crew, just a minor nit pick, but can we please rename a couple of the big 3 integration apps to match the others?

Eg currently these 3 have consistent names:

  • Amazon Echo Skill
  • Google Home
  • Google Home Integration helper

But these 2 don’t match:

  • Chromecast Integration
  • Homekit

It would be great if you could bring the last 2 inline with the first 3 as it would make them easier to find in a long list of apps (especially keeping the Google apps together) eg.

  • Google Chromecast Integration
  • Apple Homekit

We are aware of this problem, and intend to deal with it. That won't happen for a while, as we have our hands full with other matters....

My favorite naming collision is:

  • Hubitat® Dashboard (built-in hub app)
    and
  • Hubitat Dashboard (Android mobile app)

I've always thought it wise to disallow 3rd party apps from using the company name, for this and other reasons.

Agreed. I must admit I did think of suggesting all 1st party apps (that aren’t integrations) get the “Hubitat” prefix.

However there are so many of them that it would potentially make a bigger mess.
