I was going cross eyed last night trying to copy in the ID and token into my phones locative app. I must have keyed it in wrong several times before I got it working again.

Secret path I have followed that eases some of the pain:

  1. Copy ID/UID/whatever on computer
  2. Paste into email & send to self, or paste to OneNote, Evernote, etc.
  3. Access item on phone, long-press>Copy
  4. Paste into mobile app

Still a pita if you have to do a lot, but at least I don't have to type anything on the phone.

I use Google Keep for this purpose (paste into it on PC, access on Android).

No you don't, I'm the only one who ever thought of this. :rage:

Well, maybe only you and I thought of it.

Did that but the select cut and paste in the app works for crap and no windows version.

I just email them to myself and open email.pn phone.

This is what im working with...

If you use iPhone and Mac the clipboard is shared. Control-C on Mac, Press paste on iPhone. I think there are similar ways to do it on PC/Android as well.

Thats not a problem its the selecting just part of the url in the app that doesn't work great.

I realized tonight that I have all my presence sensor apps on the C7 that runs the apps and automations, so I didn't have any issues here. Where I was running into issues was hub meshed devices. Going through and app swapping the new devices for the old and deleting the off line devices from the old hub took me about an hour and a half. The actual migration itself took maybe 5 minutes.

Now I never knew that - very handy

Which Garmin IQ app is that? I've never thought about managing a few scenes from my watch.

And I use Google docs to paste stuff from phone to PC/Chromebook and the reverse. Sort of a universal scratchpad.
