Replace Dimmer With Switch

I replaced a Zooz dimmer switch with a standard on/off switch. Used the swap device feature. That turned out to be a mess. Apparently when you swap it it thinks the new device is a dimmer also and things don't work like they should. Had to create a virtual switch, swap the new switch into the virtual switch. Then go thru all the apps to get it straightened out.

Also found out, you can't swap out a child device.

Just kinda a heads up if anyone else tries this.
