Repeaters with two hubs

Hello group

I am now using two hubs, would I have to install aditionel repeaters or are they able to share them between the hubs, and will they share links from other devices. Asked in another way, do I have to build a new zigbee network when adding a new hub.

Specifik to Ikea repeaters, in device when I press “get route table” and “get link quality” nothing happens, is the driver not supporting this, or is the router not working.

And a happy newyear to all in here🇩🇰
Thanks

Each Zigbee and Z-Wave mesh network requires its own set of repeater devices. They cannot be shared between two Hubs.

However, you could possibly use one hub for Zigbee devices, and the other hub for Z-Wave devices if that would help with your goals. You could then use the Hubitat built-in "Hub Mesh" feature to share those devices between the two hubs, assuming they are both connected to the same LAN.

Just to add to what @ogiewon already said. Mesh networks become stronger when more (mains powered) devices are added to one mesh. The exception is, when balancing the load is intended. If you have Zigbee bulbs, which are known to be lousy repeaters for other Zigbee devices, then moving those bulbs on a separate hub makes sense. Likewise for Z-Wave, if you have many power reporting devices, isolating those on a separate hub keeps both Z-Wave networks happier.

Thanks
I have a lot of philips hue they have been moved to a hue hub.

I will keep this in mind, my goal was to use number two for sicurity things, but I will move some 230 volts powered to number two when it makes sense

And regarding the route table, thanks, it made the difference😃

Actually, I just got hub number three, but I will give it to my daughter and son in law, he is getting educated for some robotic/industrial programmer, but not with so much money for the time being. He had beem a good help for me, so now he can start by him selves
