I moved a bulb to my Mom's room.
It was formerly called "Livingroom Mom Chair"
I renamed it to "Mom Chair"
It shows up in the Hue Bridge correctly but doesn't show in the simple lighting app.
The old name still shows in simple lighting.
When I pick the old name it doesn't control it and I get an error.
I have re-booted both the Hubitat and the Hue Bridge.
Also tried renaming the bulb back to it's original name, it's still not responding through Hubitat.
On the apps page have you gone into the Hue Bridge and removed the old bulb and added the new?
Did that.
No change the bulb still didn't show up.
Unloaded app and used "Hue B Smart" seems to be working.
What does the name show as on the "Devices" page? That's what you're going to see in Simple Lighting (or any app). My experience is that renaming a bulb in the Hue app does not rename it in Hubitat--if you want them to match, you have to go and edit the device in Hubitat yourself. (And Hubitat is already aware that the bulb has been added and will also not "discover" it again.)
I guess it's personal preference whether you prefer the Hue bulb names stay in sync in Hubitat with the Hue app or if you prefer being able to have different names in Hubitat from what they may be in Hue, but since there's no option, it's the latter for everyone.
