I've to a number of Android tablets running HE dashboards. Is there a way I can manage these from my desktop machine rather than going to each individually?
Is there a way to have my Android tablets auto start my dashboard?
Unfortunately the link is broken. 404 error. Thanks for the suggestion.
Closest I've come is using wireless ADB and scrcpy. The problem is that wireless ADB will reset any time the WiFi changes or the tablet reboots. So, you'll need a way to physically connect to the tablet and reset the wireless ADB if it goes down. This method does allow you to replicate the dashboard into Windows where you can manage it just like you were standing in front of it.
Alternatively, if you just need an app to start, one of the automation apps like Automate or Tasker should be able to start an app on boot (I would think...never tried).
Tasker or MacDroid are likely other candidates.....
Just Google "control android from pc"
I use Fully Kiosk browser on my Fire tablets. It allows you to turn on/reboot the tablet and have it go directly to the dashboard of your choosing.
Check out Hubitat Android Dashboard app. It may offer what you desire.
+1 for FullyKiosk. Itβs amazing and the HE driver for it in this forum basically allows you to control all aspects from Rule Machine. Itβs very cool.
Thanks to all for the responses. I'm still going through them all.
As to the "autostart and app" the goal is for my various tablets to start the HE app with a specific dashboard coming up when I reboot or power on. I can see the auto start for the HE app that @LibraSun mentioned. I will be testing that this weekend.
Sorry, just catching up on this as I missed it along the way.
Can you explain how to setup Fully Kiosk to come on and go directly to your dashboard? Are you using the Plus version?
Thanks.
Glenn...
This is what I use.
Thanks for this. I will definitely check it out.
My issue is with Hubitat. I have security camera's that are running in a specific dashboard but I have yet to see how I can specify just that dashboard to display.
Thoughts?
