[RELEASE] Tuya Zigbee mmWave Sensors (code moved from the Tuya 4 In 1 driver)

DOH, didn't think to read the power specs, thanks. So I'll have to get the square wall mount. These could replace my Linptech. My wife actually seemed to "like" (= does not hate) the design of the Linptech in general, but over time the lux sensor has started to bother her, especially after a guest asked if it was a camera. :scream:

I've told her we can just put some tape over the sensor as I'm not using the lux info, but now that she's worried about it "watching" us the Linptech may not survive...once she gets a worry going it tends to grow and grow. [sigh]

Looking forward to the results when your two units arrive. Thanks for boldly going where no geeks have gone before...

Been there and I can understand the paranoia in people with all the reports we hear about on TV and the net. In our guest house, I have a a hub connected via wifi and it's in a corner of the bedroom wall because it's where I had the best wifi signal. Been asked a few times about it and especially if it was a camera.

I will also be testing it when installed behind drywall for a completely discreet look and no asking questions from the visit if they don't see it. All my testing will most likely become permanent install in the guest house as we will be living in it during the new house construction and we need to have our automations, not just water damage monitoring and remote control of temperatures, etc. as we do now.

Might want to check building codes. Not sure things that are powered can be unaccessible.

My Linptech 24 Ghz can see through drywall. Can you put them in an adjacent space. Maybe mount it in a non-metallic workbox with a blank plastic plate. Since you have bare walls POE seems like a good option. Looking around a power only usb-c to Poe adapter could be a diy project.

Exactly what I was thinking and I'm pretty sure that low voltage can be placed in walls but might have to use a plastic electrical box with flush mount system and blank wall plate. Might have to print the blank wall plates to mount the sensor behind it but that's ok

I'd consider a double gang box. These coves are interesting. https://www.amazon.com/ENERLITES-Screwless-Standard-Polycarbonate-Thermoplastic/dp/B08TWN3F2Z?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1

I will be interested to see how these go!
I'm thinking of putting them in the bathroom and bedrooms for that sleek look.
I have no issues getting to power in each location either, so that helps

Edit: I noticed Ali have a sale for my region on these next week...should purchase a couple and test these out too!
