Yes, you're right! My keypads are selected under that section. Do you want me to delete them from there? Does that mean that I will not be able to use them to arm or disarm? They have been working like a charm for months been selected under that section. Now it's working again...

This explains why I did not encounter the 'entry' error. I don't have keypads defined in that section. It's likely something recently changed in HSM.

Please remove the keypads from that HSM section and make sure they are defined in globals, "Keypads used to arm/disarm HSM with the required Centralitex driver", test, then post your results. My system runs flawlessly: keypads beep entry/exit countowns, key presses always sound, and panic sounds/sirens when available work with that setup.

Just incase someone else misses removing the keypad devices from HSM, I'll likely add the 'command "entry"' statement to the DH. It seems to work having the keypads defined in HSM with the added command, but it's not used by Nyckelharpa, I've not tested it, and I suspect it may cause some unwanted overhead.

Yes that is the section I wanted, too lazy to take a snapshot.

Really pleased we were able to solve this issue.

I suppose it's best I add the 'command "entry"' statement to the DH, just incase someone misses the directions for removing the keypads from the HSM settings. It will produce a log warning message asking the user to remove the keypad from HSM when the "entry" command is activated.

Enhancements and Changes

1. Corrected typo in Nyckelharpa causing Groovy error. globalHomeCotacts-->globalHomeContacts (thanks @theroonie)
2. Added ability to send pin messages to notification devices replacing deprecated HE SMS support
3. Fixed when keypad device using Centalitex DH was not removed from HSM, caused HSM Command "entry" error and app fails to function. Note it is strongly suggested to remove the device from HSM, this simply stops it from crashing when overlooked, and produces a log warning message. (Thanks @a1adb50e476a67b85c68)

Arne, Thanks for keeping this updated. Observed something odd this morning when leaving, as soon as I arm away from my irs keyfob, the IL02 keypad, using centralitex driver, immediately goes to motion active, which sets off the alarm.
I thought maybe updating to the latest above would solve my issue, but it did not. The keypad is not selcted in HSM. The keyfob is selected in HSM tho, but going back amonth or so the keyfob worked flawless with Nyckelharpa.
My Nyk talker has also stopped working. Would you suggest I uninstall everything and start over?

I just de-selcted the keypad as a motion sensor, going to try again, but the fact remains when arming the keypad motion immediately flips to active, additionally the device page for the keypad always says "armed away" and never changes, even if i disarm from the keypad device page

What did I screw up?

Really not sure what's going on with your system but here's a few things you can try

Verify the HSM exit delay time is set for each arm state then save it

Review the global settings then save global settings

Regarding the talk messages
I usually find in my system that it is the TTS devices that have to be reset don't know what you are using , but try resetting it and verify the IP addresses if any are needed are correct

The keypad will always show motion detected when you are arming. my opinion it is a useless device that only registers motion within about 6 inches mainly used by the device to light the keypad

This is my working HSM info for Armed-Away. (Note my modes were adjusted to conform to my SmartThings settings when I was on both systems using ST as the alarm controller. I'm now 100% Hubitat.)

Thanks Arn, I found the issue with google, is the chromecast, still in beta over a year later. I had tons of messages "stuck", had to hit refresh in G mini device page and the speaker jabbered for like 12 minutes to clear all messages.
I think I shall start over, fresh install. Much has changed since I first installed HSM, and I've read stories of devices getting "stuck" in rules, etc., especially before I learned to always remove device from rule before deleting device.

Hi Arn, I was observing my zigbee network and noticed that my second keypad (IL03) was having very short battery life, as well as sending hundreds of messages for no reason , with the centralitex driver. Changed the ddriver to the native HE driver, and the spam messages stopped. do you think I got an incomplete pairing? Messages below, not sure what they're communicating.

My hardware messaging understanding is limited, so I am unable to determine what is occurring, have no idea why is does not show with HE standard driver, but it may be a signal strength message. I can state with certainty that the lastHopRssi text is not coded in the CentralLitex driver.

I use my IL02 for testing, so it was powered up and reconnected, then turned on all logging. I get nothing like what is shown in your logs. In fact it is quiet unless I wave my hand over it creating a motion message.

It's possible the device is not fully paired or is having difficulty connecting to the zigbee network. Do any lights or icons constantly blink on the device? They should not. On my device, if I wave my hand over the device the battery light and Iris icon turns on for a few seconds, then shut off.

Suggestions

1. If the device is not close to the hub and there are no repeaters in between it and the hub, move the device close to the hub. If the messages stop, install a zigbee repeater between the device and the hub. Otherwise thy step 2.

2. Unpair device from HE, factory reset following instruction on device back until top right led blinking blue, re-pair device near to the hub, use the CentralLitex driver, then check again

3. Turn off power to any Cree Bulbs in your zigbee network and retry. These bulbs are awful repeaters.

Thank You Arn, It is 10 feet line of sight, same room as hub, with zero cree bulbs. Funny thing is I have another same keypad 2 rooms away, it works perfect.
with the problem keypad, I did hear the triple beep when pairing, and it was paired right after Mike update the native driver.
In the same room as the trouble keypad, I have a leaksmart valve & an xbee s2c as repeaters.

I'll do another factory reset and see what happens. I did notice with these keypads, that motion capability, often does not up on first pairing. I have to keep flipping the drivers back & forth till motion shows up

My Iris V3 seems to have bricked itself this morning. Blue light blinking, does not work with and will not reconnect to HE, and won't connect to ST. Factory reset and retry a few times.

These things sure are wonky. Try this, factory reset again, don't pair it, let it sit for a few hours after reset with batteries in, then factory reset again, and try to pair. I swear these things have a dual personality.
I have observed these keypads don't seem to like any rapid succession of events.

Thank you. When I tried your suggestion, the keypad went dark. New batteries and all is well. It died at 4.5 volts, now reading 6.4volts. It was as low as 4.1 volts in the event logs.

Now I know it's lower voltage limit, and when it gets there, it goes berserk. One would think the battery icon would flash every minute or something. At least the 4 AA batteries are inexpensive.

I noticed when my keypad does that nonstop messaging illustrated above, it will kill the batteries in about 1 week. No lights flash on the keypad, but the messages are pretty non stop.

After noticing my batteries went from 6.4 to 6.1volts in one day, I turned on debugging code and found after a few quick successive motion actives, the debug log started quickly filling up and the top button no longer displayed the current HE Arming Status.

So based upon what you did, I switched the device to the HE Iris V3 DH. My log follows. I will look at adding the motionOff logic from the Iris V3 driver to the Centralitex driver.

Enhancements and Changes

1. Corrected error causing Iris V3 keypad to go into a transmit loop sending motion active messages every 5 seconds, draining the battery.
   When this occurred the OFF, Partial, and ON buttons are all dimly lit, no longer displaying the current arming status, refusing to arm or disarm, with the excess network traffic draining the batteries.

I urge everyone to stay up to date, please update your system. If you are using an Iris V3 with Nyckelharpa this update is required.

Known Iris V3 Issues

• Exit, Entry and Beep sounds are erratic or fail to sound on the V3 using this DH and from my experience the HE Iris V3 DH. However HSM operation is correct using Nyckelharpa.

• Siren sound is fully functional.

• When Panic is activated on the V3, it sometimes fails to stop when entering pin then OFF. Workaround: Tap Partial, then enter pin, then OFF until it stops
