[RELEASE] Life360+ (BROKEN)

Following up with an update.

These errors have resolved themselves. I am able to use the Local and Remote links to view the mapped location of all members.

THANK YOU!

It magically started working, not sure why. I was using email.

Good evening!
I just got the HTML attribute to work for one of my phones using the Life360+ drivers; however, the speed shown in the HTML attribute appears to be half of the actual speed shown in the Speed attribute.

Any thoughts?

Well, this app is currently broken, as is the corresponding Home Assistant integration. Seems to fail during the authentication phase. It seems Life360 has changed something yet again to break all integrations. Looks like the folks on the HA side are finally giving up the integration since there's nothing that can be done. Any thoughts?

Perhaps because I haven't needed to reauthenticate, but the Life360+ is working fine for me.

I can confirm it's broken on both my hubs. On the GUI side I am seeing "Error logging into Life360!"

UPDATE: User error
I've attempted install a couple of times using HPM, not seeing the app show up afterwards though HPM shows it as an installed package and allows me to uninstall. Any advice @jpage4500 ?

Again, same answer as your query in the other topics..............

Appreciate it, got it installed and now getting the 403 error

Again....

I've removed the application several times, logged in again, and still the error. I tested the login and password directly on the Life360 user site and they are correct.

I'm getting the same thing......

I've verified that credentials are correct.

Same thing here, login is failing and password is correct. As a subscriber I’m contacting them and complaining that an API should be given at least for subscribers…

Same @andrepinto, I sent this mensage to the support.

Hi,
I use Life360 in addition to my phone, in the automation of my home, which uses APIs that provide information for tasks that depend on the location of the members.
I see that Life360 recurrently blocks access to these APIs, and we get login/password error messages.
I have already validated it by going directly to the members' area, and the information I have is correct.
So please, what is the procedure for a paid subscriber like me to continue using the API service?
Thank you.

I totally agree. I can understand not adding something to the platform but why take it away and piss off customers.

Some folks have found a fix for the HA integration.

Life 360+ is still working for me, I just can't login anymore to make changes I'm getting this "Error Logging into Life360!"

Geofencing is still working, it updates when family members leave home and arrive etc, This also triggers HSM to arm, disarm and Echo speaks to announce changes in presence.

The problem with logging in only happened when I updated the Life360+ app via HPM.

I'm guessing, if I reboot the hub or have to re-authenticate, it will stop working.

And here is their response. I guess we need a plan B or try to pressure them to leave the API open to be used by paid subscribers…

Hi Andre,

Thank you for contacting Life360 about the >Hubitat integration. I can help you with laying >out our guidelines.

We understand the importance of using the >Hubitat program with Life360. However, >please be aware that we no longer support >home automation programs such as Google >Home, Alexa, IFTTT, and others, and Life360 is >no longer compatible with these programs.

Currently, we do not have any plans to >reintroduce compatibility with these programs.

I appreciate you for sharing this insight. I will >take note of this as feedback and discuss this >with our team.

Have a safe day,

haha, ridiculous.

That's me cancelling the subscription then, no point having it anymore. Only ever used it for Hubitat integration.

I've sent them an email, saying if they don't leave the API open I will be cancelling my subscription.
And also 99% of the other home automation users out there will be doing the same. So expect to lose out £££.

That's frustrating as hell. Our whole family uses Life360 but only my wife and I are really the ones that have automation linked to it. Looks like we may have to be looking for an alternative to maintain those. However, currently it still seems to be working despite the error.
