Quick update here. It works!
Had to click on configure for the driver to be active.
Slightly off topic folks. Has the inspelning outlet already been discontinued in the UK. It's not showing on IKEA's website, nor was it on the shelves today in Warrington. Surely not!
From what I can tell, looks like there is 0 stock across all UK. Same thing in Romania, 0 on all stores. Hope this is only a temporary stock problem, it would be a shame to discontinue the product.
Let's hope it's a temporary supply issue. It's a class product
I can't get any Inspelning in Australia currently too.
Should be a stock issue. Just checked my "local" Ikea here in Sweden, and they currently had 303 of them available.
Greetings.
First if all thank you for the driver for these ikea sensors. I am though having some issues with the parasoll contact sensors.
I bought a few of them but I can not get any of them to work.
When pairing it finds the sensors with my c7 hub it finds the device and selects the right driver. But then they just go dark. No communication at all between hub and sensor.
I attempted to update the firmware even activating it before pushing update to make sure it wasn't sleeping, but I get no reply from the sensor.
I saw someone else having the same issue meny meny posts ago, but did not see any replies to the issue.
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I have a few Parasol contact sensors and I have to say I am not impressed with them, it’s a shame because they look good and are reasonably priced. No problems pairing them but lots of other problems. I find that the battery drains fast and when the battery goes below around 50% they start to misbehave. They get in to a zigbee disconnect/reconnect constant state which can bring down my zigbee network if left unattended - fixed by re-inserting or changing the battery. I also have to disable the on the hour health check as this puts them into “unknown” state. I have set up a rule to reconfigure/refresh when this happens after hub firmware upgrades and to remind me to disable the health check. They also seem to drop from the network randomly which is fixed by pulling out the battery and re-installing.
In short the Parasol are not set and forget, I’ll replace them with Aeotec sensors..3 times the cost but reliable. I have other IKEA kit and it’s only the Parasol that gives me drama.
Seems like there is a problem with the Parasoll sometimes failing to go back to sleep:
This would explain a lot, if not all the issues I am experiencing. I’ll put the parasol in my drawer with my other zigbee device fails…a shame as I liked the parasol’s profile and the IKEA kit is normally pretty reliable.
Sorry if this has been answered before, but which one should I install from HPM? I am seeing two IKEA Zigbee drivers by dan when I search in HPM.
Wow, some really bad news about the Parasolls.
In case IKEA doesn’t fix the problem/design, and replaces defective sensors, what brand would you recommend? Thirdreality? Aeotec?
What sensor would you say it’s reliable?
Hey @RobDaBush , can you share your Parasoll rule?
Thanks
IKEA have discontinued the inspelning outlet in the UK. I've just had an online chat with them. I'm absolutely gutted, a class product at a sensational price. I'm sad
This is for when the sensor gets into an unknown state (rule machine). This seems to happen on the hour every hour unless I delete the scheduled "healthCheck" in the Scheduled Jobs (in the Logs screen).
I have 6 Parasoll sensors, I had no big problems, so I don't intend to replace them. Only one time, one of them went haywire, but that was a firmware issue that spammed the network.
Seems like the noisy buck converter issue is an odds game: if you're lucky when you put in the battery, you're good for the next 10 months or so.
About recommendations, as a rule of thumb, I try to stay clear of chinese companies, so 3R is a no go for me.
Zero stock on all stores, with no restock schedule, sad indeed: IKEA Stock Checker for 80569842 - EasyRebuild.com
Visonic MCT-350....You can pick up multipacks on ebay of "Xfinity" branded units where they come out to be about $4(inflation/tariffs...oops) $4.50 a piece...they work great. For example: Lot of 10 XFINITY Security Visonic XHS2-TY MCT-350 SMA ZigBee Door Window Sensor | eBay
hi @dandanache Is there a way to manually "calibrate" VINDSTYRKA humidity measurement?
Seems its terribly off comparing to other humidity sensors, I'm looking for manually updating the measurement with a +/- decimal. Is it somehow possible in the driver?
I'll add preference entries for calibrating temperature and humidity; the device screen will still display the raw value though as there is no way to change it using Zigbee commands.
