It appears I have one way traffic only. I can control everything from homebridge, but actions on the Hubitat side don’t update back to homebridge. I deleted the Hubconnect apps and driver and reinstalled and put the new key in config.json. I don’t see any errors on the homebridge side which is running on an i7 windows 10 machine we leave on for media. I have 2.1.117 with Hubconnect 1.4 plus hotfix, latest homebridge, and todays Homebridge-Hubitat-Hubconnect.

Do you have a firewall running on your machine that runs Homebridge?

Just stock windows firewall. I don’t see any block rules in advanced settings. It was actually working fine before the 1.4 Hubconnect update and and homebridge-Hubitat-Hubconnect. I have been struggling to get it back to normal since. Everything stayed up to date both ways back in the day.

I’ll post when I get back home. I just realized after I posted this that there was a Windows update around the same time as the 1.4 update. I’ve noticed that windows likes to fubar my network settings when it updates, so, I will check that as well before I post. I just know I had it working perfectly for about an hour (perhaps less) today and now it’s back to this.

The plugin is online. Just to make sure, 192.168.0.51 is the IP address of the interface that is connected to your network, correct? Or do you have several network interfaces?

That is the HE hub. 192.168.0.100 is Homebridge on the PC.

Check your config.json please, do you have the Hub IP in the entry local_ip? If so, then this is wrong. This should be set to your PC IP

I enabled debug logging and figured I would post this in case anything here is helpful. I triple checked the PC and nothing is being blocked by the firewall, turning it off didn't make a difference either.

Nevermind, you were right. When I redid the config.json, I copied in the wrong IP address. I fixed it and all is well. It hit me when I posted the log. Thanks, it's working perfect now.

So got this setup with my 2nd HE hub...everything connects, Server hub sees ping from client...but no devices update. Originally I had a bunch of devices (dumb) so then I went back deleted all the devices on the server removed the connection from both and reconnected. Only added back in 1 motion sensor. Still no updates. It adds the sensor and all the original status..but never updates after that. Did I miss something simple?

Got it...Switched modes to Http

If you can.. obviously if it's working for you via http there's no requirement to change.

Perhaps you tried this already.. and have the answers, but if not, can you try this?

Server, HubConnect Server: HubConnect Utilites: Enable Debug Logging for all instances. (Note there's a disable all button too, for when you're satisfied with everything.)

For the specific instance, put it back to Hubitat Event Socket. Capture the new Key.

On the Remote Client, Connect to Server Hub; Click the Disconnect Server hub. This will clear out the key, among other things. Then paste in the new Key.

Do that twice please. Disconnect, key paste, Done, Disconnect, key paste, done.

In the logs on the server, you should see something like:

then on the Remote, turn on or off a switch, something easy to do.. open a door, etc, just to get an Event to be sent to Server. Are you seeing it in Server logs?

Should be seeing two logs:

The Received event is Remote telling Server, the Sending event is Server telling Remote. Remote updates it's state data from the positive confirmation it gets from the Server. First these are two Hubitat Hubs. Second, no logs after doing what you said above...and no events come through. Put it back to HTTP and all is working again.

Are they on the same subnet?

Http works well but is the only choice for distant devices, such as SmartThings, which must use its cloud api, and your Hubitat hub on a different ISP, like perhaps your Hub in your RV or barn.

Also, trying to create a "custom" driver for me GE motion dimmers and switches. I need something that has both switch, level and motion. However when I create that nothing is showing up in the drop down on the client end when I go to choose devices.

Oh, thanks for reminding me. I need to make a hubconnect user driver for my GE motion dimmers and switches too. If you get it done first post it up here.

Otherwise I will do it Tuesday or Wednesday when my other hub arrives.
