[RELEASE] HD+ - Android Dashboard

Thanks for the replies. I did look at the Show off your dashboards post but I really wanted to see just HD+ dashboards since they have a certain look/functions.
I am thinking of adding our family google calendar - and would like to add a few of my Wyze camera feeds but I am not sure this is possible...

I'm defaulting it to 1 hour from now as a starting point.. not really knowing how this would be used. I'm good with saving the last time used though and showing that.

@jpage4500 Joe, have you ever used the Universal Switch called Virtual Switch uDTH (lite) from HPM? It's a virtual switch that also shows up as a contract sensor, motion sensor, and or presence sensor. It's very useful when used with Alexa since Alexa cannot use a switch as a trigger. It doesn't seem to work with the new alarm feature. Any thoughts?

FYI, Normal switches and lights work amazing, This is what I have been looking for for a long time.

I have read through the 6300 posts over 2 days. I do not see how/where to use this as a presence detector. Geofence set, no problem. That's as far as I got...

There's also the official docs.

Presence Tracking (Geofence)

Location Tracking

Since those were part of the 6300 posts, I already read them. :astonished:

Anyway... after 2 hours the device I wanted to use with presence finally appeared. I'll see how it goes...

@jpage4500 Having trouble leads me to make a feature request.
I've lost an icon. It's in the app pick list but it's not on my dash. I don't use folders, and I checked the hidden (unhid the ones that were there) and still can't find a motion sensor for my dining room. Can we get a search? (or is there one already and I'm just slow?)

Just downloaded this and exploring it. Nice and responsive and so far much better widget support than the native app for Android.

Understanding that the focus of this app is dashboards, I downloaded it to explore the widgets which is my main focus.

Is there a way to change the attribute that is shown on a thermostat widget tile? It shows the temperature of the room but I'd prefer it to show the setpoint or operation mode. I don't think it's configurable is it?

Would be good if the thermostat widget showed the status of the AC, at least showing its on if possible? I get this is focused on dashboards, but I'm setting a wall tablet up for my son and having select widgets on the dashboard is better for this application.

Also. When clicking a widget tile that has options ie thermostat widget, can it be made to go back to the android dashboard rather than bringing up the HD+ dashboard and having to close the app?

That's not a bad idea. I know when I first implemented widgets I didn't support every device type. What I should be able to add is the ability to add a custom device type as a widget. That device type lets you select any attribute to display.

In your case you could copy the device in HD+ and change the device type to custom and select the attribute you'd like. Then, select that device when creating a widget.

It's not there today but I'll add it

interesting.. on my Pixel device when clicking on a widget I get a popup but closing it returns to the homescreen.

However, on a Samsung device the app shows up in the background so when closing the popup the app is still there. Of course when I tried to get a screenshot of it it actually worked so something's going on there.. I'll see if I can figure it out.

I like the idea - just need to figure out where to put it without getting in the way (ie: FAB button or toolbar icon)

The only place I can think of that would be easy to access (not buried in too many menus) would be in the nav drawer

I know the nav drawer isn't the easiest to open but I can't think of anywhere else better at the moment.. I'll have to think about how to display the results too.. but, good idea!

I haven't heard of it. But, I suppose I could add the "Set Timer / Alarm" to the options of any device that has an on/off command or a Switch capability. I'll add that to my TODO list

Hello all. New Hubitat and HD+ user here. I noticed that the Date/Time tile has a feature that indicates when the device it's running on is running low on battery. Is there a way to get HD+ to send that flag to the hub so I can make a rule to turn on the charger? In any event, I want my dashboard tablet to be able to turn the charger on and off as needed.

Looking forward to hearing how I might be able to do that. Thanks

actually, what device type is this set to? If it's set to a switch that option should show up

did you ever get this figured out? I've got several calendars integrated so I can help there. I don't have any live video feeds. I do have a couple of reolink cameras though which let you capture an image so I display an image that updates every 15 seconds instead

version 1.0. 2772 (beta)

  • add widget support for custom device type
  • dialog refactoring
  • handle webcal:// style URL's in calendar
  • return to add/delete symbol for stock ticker
  • fix widget dialog opening app
  • fix navigation bar overlapping toolbar on a few screens

There's a few bugfixes and tweaks in here - mostly described above. Probably the biggest change is you can add custom device types as widgets. Only 1 attribute can be displayed in a widget right now but I'll look if it's possible to show up to 4 (they'd probably be too small though)

Hi @jpage4500, I've made the move to HD+ following the demise of ActionTiles. It's great, nice work! Will sort a donation out to support the work!

Can I ask a quick question? I have three video tiles enabled, this relates to the 2 x RTSP shown in the images. There seems to be an intermittent issue with two of them (RTSP), the tile thumbnails sometimes appear blank, If I hit the tile it loads the video but the thumbnail sometimes doesn't always load. Restarting the device and/or killing and restarting HD+ doesn't resolve the issue. Any ideas?

Thanks again, great work.

Oh this is a quick implementation of my suggestions... Impressive. I'll look at this over the weekend.

Edit: Seems I don't yet see the new Beta yet in my store. Will keep an eye on the updates.

The best I can do is try to reproduce the issue. I do have 2 reolink cameras that support RTSP and will add them and see what they look like after running for a while

Highly appreciated! If I observe anything of any use will feedback here. Thanks again!
